Privacy notice
This privacy notice explains what Symfonium Styles stores, why it is stored, and how that data is used to operate the catalog safely.
What we collect
Depending on how you use the site, Symfonium Styles may store:
- account data such as your email address, display name, author slug, and account status
- uploaded content such as style JSON files, screenshots, version notes, and moderation outcomes
- report, abuse, and moderation records linked to styles, versions, or accounts
- security and operational records such as request IDs, rate-limit state, login request records, and pseudonymous requester fingerprints
- consent acknowledgment records for the site cookie notice
- aggregate engagement data such as downloads, page views, and likes
Why we use this data
We use this data to:
- authenticate users with magic-link sign-in
- publish and moderate the style catalog
- protect the site against abuse, spam, and repeated malicious actions
- operate downloads, page views, likes, reports, and moderation workflows
- keep basic operational logs, metrics, backups, and restore procedures for the service
Cookies
Symfonium Styles uses necessary cookies only.
These cookies support:
- sign-in and session handling
- CSRF and other security protections
- remembering that you dismissed the cookie notice
The site does not use third-party analytics cookies.
Public and private data
Public style pages may show information such as:
- style name and description
- screenshots
- version history and release notes
- author display name and author page
The site does not publish account email addresses on public pages.
Staff users with moderation access may see additional operational data required to review submissions, reports, abuse actions, and user status. Moderator-role users have a reduced view compared with admins.
Security and retention
The site stores only the information needed to run the catalog, moderate content, investigate abuse, and recover the service when needed.
Some operational and moderation records may remain after a style is hidden or an account is disabled when that retention is needed for security, moderation history, backup integrity, or legal compliance.
Your choices
You can browse the public catalog without signing in. An account is required to upload styles, manage your own releases, and vote on styles.
If you have an account, you can currently update your display name from your account settings page. More account-management options may be added later.
